I agree but this stuff happens and it is probably more frequent than either of us would like to imagine. But the good part is God has people in place to help those who have been hurt and abused by those in spiritual authority. What our prayers should be is that the victim not become so bitter that they reject the lifeline that God will toss them.
I painfully learned a long time ago, never judge Christ by Christians unless they have earned it.
